tasty! made this with low fat yoghurt instead of creme fraiche and pearl barley instead of spelt, really nice and easy too. Thanks for the recipe

Those dumplings sound lovely Sophie. I love being inventive with leftovers – I try to throw nothing away as I hate wasting any food. Currently I have a bag of cabbage stalks in the freezer waiting for the next batch of soup.

Wow! I am so pleased to stumble across your blog. Your prof. knowledge about healthy eating makes your recipes all the more appealing. I too use my blog to keep a record of my family’s fav recipes, which I do refer to at a later date.
Using left-overs creatively is the reality of homecooking without wasting. I long for leftover chicken to use in a recipe but it all gets gobbled up in one sitting at our house-must find a bigger bird!
